33% of Utrecht adults consciously choose to buy organic products
One third of adults (aged 19-64) often buy organic products. Residents aged 40-54 and couples with children are more likely to buy organic products than average. Utrecht residents with low levels of education without a migration background and Utrecht residents with a Moroccan or Turkish background are less likely to buy organic products.

39% of Utrecht residents with high levels of education consciously choose to buy organic products. This is higher than the average in Utrecht. Of the adults who completed only primary level education, 15% regularly buy organic products.

43% of adults in Noordoost often buy organic products deliberately. Utrecht residents living in Overvecht, Zuidwest and Vleuten-De Meern are less likely to buy organic products deliberately than the average in Utrecht.

63% of Utrecht residents deliberately buy seasonal products
Nearly two-thirds of Utrecht adults often consciously buy seasonal vegetables or fruit. Women, residents aged 40- 64 and Utrecht residents who have completed an advanced level of secondary school education (lbo/mavo/vmbo) or a degree (hbo/university), are more likely to consciously buy seasonal products than average.

Utrecht residents with children are more likely to consciously buy seasonal products

72% of Utrecht residents who live with their partner and children often consciously buy seasonal fruit and vegetables. This is 74% for single parents. Both percentages are higher than average.

17% of Utrecht adults consciously buy local products

17% of Utrecht residents often consciously buy regionally produced products. Adults aged 19-39, Utrecht residents without a migration background, Utrecht residents with a Turkish migration background and Utrecht residents who live with a partner without children are less likely to buy local products than average.
