Utrecht has around 18 community teams across the city. These teams offer support from different disciplines to anyone who needs it. For example in the field of divorce, debt, mental health problems, loneliness, unemployment, domestic violence or parenting and bringing up children. The teams also include ‘experience experts’. For families, there are also youth and family community teams. Adults are supported by the social community teams. The teams work together with various organisations in the district. For example, schools, housing corporations, health clinics, social agents, general practitioners, mental health care providers, but also groups of residents and voluntary organisations. They make referrals to supplemental care as necessary.
